Long time no screed, no?

I hold in my hand this morning my tooth… Well, hardly mine as I did nothing to grow it and have not known it long enough to nurture nor care for it in any real way. In my hand is a replacement for what once was… a crown, a proxy tooth… a fake. My mouth tells a lie even when I do not speak. I am a liar in the business of lying and I smile a little thinking of the purposely nicotine and coffee stain color matched dental prosthesis lying even to me as it remains glued in the back of my mouth. The glue failed and it fell out the other night… the fourth wall was broken, the lie evaporated and I was revealed as an incomplete human as I have always been and always shall be. Rather nice that science and technology have given me this moment, this meter of my mortality and of my physical fakery…
